FORMAT & COMPATIBILITY

Procreate 5x is recommended.

All assets are available in both .brushset and .png format, except the length rulers (.png only). The base size of all image assets is 5,000px by either height or width, whichever parameter meets the criteria first.

OVERVIEW

French Curves

Format: .brushset, .png

This type of guides is essential to designers in the fashion and industrial design fields. The pack includes a set of 18 stamp brushes created from the silhouettes of real curve rulers.

Geometric Guides

Format: .brushset, .png

Another very basic functionality that is sadly overlooked by the developers of Procreate. The app does support the creation of a perfect geometric shape to some extent. These include a circle, a square and a triangle. If you’re looking for more complex shapes – such as a hexagon, for example – then you are going to have to eyeball it.

This pack includes the shapes mentioned above, as well as a few other variations. Among the basic circle, square and triangle shapes, you also get the following:

hexagon;
octagon;
spiral;
diamond (ie. playing cards symbol);
heart;
star (x5 variations)
arc half (1/4 of a circle);
arc full (1/2 of a circle);
moon;
crescent;
Golden Ratio shape guides (spiral, circles, squares, triangles and offset lines);

Each golden ratio asset is a set of six shapes which have been scaled relative to each other based on a ratio of 1.618, better known as the golden ratio. For the sake of convenience, all shapes are alined to their centers both vertically and horizontally. No matter how much you resize them, their relative proportions will always remain the same.

Angle Guides

Format: .brushset, .png

Procreate 5x finally supports rotating of selections based on user-defined coordinates. This task may be relatively easy to achieve but there is still something that is missing – visual aid.

In this category, I’ve included a bunch of pre-defined angle guides to help you see the exact angle at which you may want to add a stroke or rotate a selection.

There are two types of guides here. Some of you might prefer the 360-degree ruler which represents the full range of planar coordinates, starting from 0° up to 360°.

The other type consists of guides designed at 15-degree increments in the 180-degree range. Every ruler gives you the values of both angles formed by the slanted line for quick visual reference.

Whatever guide you prefer in this category, they can all be scaled and rotated without losing their functionality and accuracy.

Length Rulers

Format: .png

Procreate is by no means a technical drawing app. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t use it as such.

I’ve designed a set of accurate length rulers that measure in both milimeters and inches. Each format is created as a standalone asset with pre-defined ranges.

For example, metric rulers are available in the following ranges: 10cm, 20cm, 30cm and 50 cm. Imeprial rulers are available in 10″ and 20″ variations.

Each guide system is further categorized by a different resolution, either 72dpi or 300dpi. You should only use the guides that match your document resolution. Otherwise, the measurements will be off.

Disclaimer:

Please note that Procreate only works with raster media, which as a result impacts a great deal how the length rulers would perform compared to other assets in the pack.

Do not expect a crisp image. The guides in this category may look pixelated and blurry because of how Procreate handles image embedding. Unfortunately, you may not resize them as that would defeat their purpose. For the most part, the rulers are adequate and the measurements distinguishable, but far from perfect.

Make sure that you only import length rulers designed in the correct resolution for your document. For example, if your artwork is 300dpi, then you need to use the 300dpi rulers. Detailed user guide is included in the pack.

Do not resize the length rulers. Rotating them is fine, though.

Grid Brushes

Format: .brushset

A set of nine brushes that let you quickly and easily generate a grid pattern on the canvas. This pack includes the following types of patterns: squared, lined and dotted.

Each type further includes three pre-defined size/density variants (Fine, Medium, and Large). The brushes were all individually designed from scratch to make sure that the pattern looks legible and consistent for its scale.

Annotation Brushes

Format: .brushset

Quite useful brush pack that lets you mark down comments and create moodboard information structure during the sketching phase. In this set, you will find two path makers, lots of arrowheads and tails, four paper planes and three important alert icons.
