About Live Music & Concert Blogger Presets
8 Lightroom presets for concert photography, live music and band photography, festival photography and even more.

Compatible with Adobe Lightroom Mobile and Desktop

Editing live music photography can be really tough. The artificial lighting, differing lighting conditions and variety of colours can make it challenging to firstly get a good shot, and secondly get any kind of consistent theme throughout your photos as you would with other subjects. Through many years of experience I have finally found a way to generate a consistent style to whatever a live performance or concert throws at me.

These presets are ones that I use myself. You can view my images on my website www.willbaileyonline.com or my Instagram page www.instagram.com/willbaileyphoto to see my end results.

It should be noted that these presets offer a basic starting point to the style of your photo. They are in no way ‘slap-on’ filters similar to what others offer. I like to flick through my list of presets and see what I feel will work with the photo. Once I’ve found a style that suits then I go through all of my options and adjust the photo, all the way from my white balance, basic tones, camera/lens calibration and further. I will play with the sliders until I get the results that I am happy with.

Some presets will not work perfectly on every photo. Given that no two photos are the same and no two subjects are the same it is often that certain presets will work better on some photoshoots than others. The colour of the lights, natural contrast of the photo, exposure, and everything else all contribute to how effective a preset will be — not to mention personal preferences.

One thing that I have learned to be careful of when using presets for live music photography is checking that skin tones are realistic. Often applying a preset to a photo that has harsh colours can throw the skin tones off. An easy fix that I have found is to adjust the hue/saturation/luminance sliders to the point that you get somewhere you’re happy with.

Adobe Lightroom Presets can help to increase the speed of your editing workflow, they can allow you to produce outstanding effects that you might not be able to replicate on your own, and they can also provide a fantastic educational resource if you want to teach yourself how to create different types of filters and effects for your photography.

I am always happy to help you use the presets in order to produce the best photos possible, please get in touch with me and I will be more than happy to assist you. No refunds or exchanges can be made on digital products once they have been downloaded.
